Hong Kong

Posted on: August 6, 2009

Hong Kong is my parent’s homeland, so I’ll start there in sharing with you a bit about my travel experiences.

Hong Kong is a vibrant city with a lot to see and do packed in a very small area.  The city is an interesting mix of all things modern and traditional.

I traveled to Hong Kong at Christmastime when I was six years old, accompanied by my parents, to visit my grandparents.  The memories I have of that trip are of the everyday things: small apartments that house all or part of an extended family, crowded streets with vendors hawking their wares (all manner of things, from books and clothes to steaming hot noodle soup to plastic buckets), and restaurants full of patrons and commotion.

Doesn’t matter what, where, or whom, the people of Hong Kong love their busy, boisterous lifestyle, and as a visitor, you might too!

Do you have questions about traveling to Hong Kong?  Post a comment and I will email you back or answer your question in a future blog entry!
