In this video, Cunard Line invites guests to explore Tallinn in-depth, on an escorted walking tour.

Unlike many other European cities, we know bafflingly little of Tallinn’s early history. In 1154 what is now Tallinn was first marked on a map by an Arab cartographer, however the first reliable account of Tallinn’s history comes from The Chronicle of Latvian Henrik, wherein Henrik describes the landing of the Danish fleet, led by King Valdemar II, in June of 1219. A Mayan Discovery With An Unlikely Guide describes a very interesting trip in which a Princess Cruises representative discovered Tulum, Mexico 37 years ago, long before it was touched by tourists.  Tulum, Mexico is now a popular stop on many cruise itineraries.  Enjoy!

In A Castle to Call Home, Deanna Austin, Senior VP of Yield Mangement, Planning and Customer Service at Princess Cruises gives a first-hand account of her family’s visit to an ancestral Scottish castle.

I think Deanna’s experience also highlights how Princess Cruises‘ shore excursion department was able to help her family see for themselves a vital part of their lineage.  Tracing family history and lineage is of interest to many people these days, and travel often proves to be an essential part of this endeavor.

I hear Alaska referred to in many ways as a destination:  Alaska is a great place for families.  Alaska is great for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.   People travel to Alaska to see the “Last Frontier,” the unspoiled natural beauty that isn’t found in most places anymore.

These might all sound like cliches, but the fact of the matter is that while no destination can be all things to all people, Alaska truly does offer something for just about everyone.
